Husband to Liesl and dad to Rebecca and Vaughn, Head Chef Paul Shepheard trained in England at the acclaimed Stratford College. His extensive experience at top England restaurants and passion for cooking is evident in the food served at Thyme Restaurant at Nabana Lodge.
From fine dining to hearty pub meals, exquisite menus for functions to biker’s breakfasts, every preference can be met. Being a family restaurant, children are warmly welcomed with a special menu for them.
Thyme Restaurant caters for lodge guests and the general public and is open Monday to Saturday from 07h00. Eating is unhurried and leisurely and meals can be enjoyed either in the restaurant, on the deck overlooking the spectacular views over the escarpment, or in the garden close to the children’s play area.
With Paul's training and extensive experience working at large hotels in England, he can cater for weddings, conferences and children's parties and other events with ease. Paul also does outside catering and has a range of frozen home-cooked meals available on order.
